Western Region Jubilees 2018: A Time to Rejoice and Give Thanks!
On April 7 during our Spring Assembly, the sisters and associates of the Western Region celebrated the Jubilees of five amazing women/sisters - Sisters Monica Heeran and Elizabeth Linnane: 70 years; Sister Mary Thorne: 60 years; Sister Margaret Shannon: 50 years and our beloved Sister Camillus Elliott sent blessings from her new life with God on her 80th Jubilee!
The Jubilee Mass was celebrated at our Peace and Spirituality Center since our chapel and main hall are under renovation. Fr. Bill Heric, longtime friend, presided; Carmel Little, CSJP gave an inspiring homily, and Associates Ann Mescher (cantor) and Laura Ash (pianist) provided uplifting music!
A sumptuous feast followed beginning with a special Jubilee Meal Blessing composed by Jubilee coordinator Pauline Dibb, CSJP. Sukyi Hur, CSJP and helpers did their magic arranging multi-colored flower bouquets for each table and the Jubilee Mass. Another longtime friend and talented musician, Andy Mirkovich, provided accordion music as he strolled around the dining rooms playing the Jubilarians’ favorite tunes!
