Autumn Assemblies - Community is our Mission
Sisters and associates in all three regions gathered this autumn to consider the theme "Community is our Mission." We explored what is ours to do to be who we say we are as a community for mission and to live community as our mission. Sister Kristin Matthes, SNDdeN, served as facilitator at each assembly.

National Catholic Organizations urge President Biden to call for ceasefire, humanitarian aid
The Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace have joined more than two dozen national Catholic organizations in sending a letter to President Biden urging him to take the necessary steps to de-escalate the conflict in Israel-Palestine, including calling for a humanitarian ceasefire and for all parties to prioritize corridors for humanitarian aid for the people in Gaza; and to prioritize steps to secure the immediate release of hostages and ensure international protection for civilians.

Sister Liz Dodd Professes First Vows as a Sister of St. Joseph of Peace
The Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace (CSJP) joyfully celebrated the first profession of vows of Sister Elizabeth Anne (Liz) Dodd on Saturday the 14th of October.

Feeding Haiti - One Meal at a Time
On June 5, sisters and staff at St. Michael Villa in New Jersey celebrated Founders Day by joining efforts with Holy Name Health Promise to pack meals for hungry families in Milot, Haiti.

Mother Francis Clare (Margaret Anna Cusack) passed away on June 5, 1899. Each year on this day, we celebrate her vision and legacy of collaboration with our other founders, Mother Evangelista (Honoria Gaffney) and Bishop Edward Gilpin Bagshawe.

Jubilee Celebrations held across the Congregation
This Spring sisters, associates, family and friends gathered in Englewood Cliffs, Nottingham, and Bellevue to celebrate our 14 Jubilarians celebrating 80, 75, 70, and 60 years of religious life for a combined 885 years of loving service as Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace.

2023 Jubilees in the West
On Saturday, June 3, 2023 the Chapel at St. Mary-on-the-Lake was filled to the brim with sisters, associates, family and friends to celebrate the combined 255 years of love and service of our four Sister Jubilarians in the Western Region.

2023 Jubilees in the East
On May 6 the Eastern region of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace gathered in the auditorium of the Sister Claire Tynan School of Nursing to celebrate the jubilees of six of their members.

Jubilees in the Eastern Region
Finally, on September 10, the Eastern region celebrated the gifts of our 2022 Jubilarians five months late due to the pandemic! The delay in time did not put a damper on the joyfulness of the event. One Jubilarian said it was the best ever!

Sisters Urge UK and US Governments to Protect Human Rights of Migrants
On this 73rd anniversary of the adoption of the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, we want to remind the governments of the UK and the US, that actions like the passage of the Nationality and Borders Bill as well as the US government’s continued use of Title 42 and the so-called Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP) violate both the spirit and the letter of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights we celebrate today.
